Dr. Katie loves being an orthodontist because it allows her to combine her passion for dentistry with her desire to make a positive impact on her patients’ lives. She finds joy in transforming smiles and boosting her patients’ confidence while creating lasting relationships along the way. One of Dr. Katie’s favorite parts of the job is getting to know her patients and treating them like family. With every patient she treats, Dr. Katie is inspired by the changes she sees—both in their smiles and their self-esteem.
The experiences that shaped Dr. Katie into the person and clinician that she is today started with growing up in a small town in Western New York, about 90 minutes south of Buffalo. She attended the University of South Carolina, where she graduated with Honors from the South Carolina Honors College and Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Finance from the Darla Moore School of Business. She then moved to New York City to attend dental school at Columbia University and then returned south to attend the world-renowned Department of Orthodontics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Katie has been in private practice in Greenville, SC since 2021 and has loved every minute of it!
Dr. Katie is driven to impact the field of orthodontics, where she serves on the Advisory Board for Invisalign®. She considers herself a lifelong learner, enjoys attending continuing education courses to better herself, and loves incorporating the latest and greatest technology into her treatment and around the office. As a busy mom herself, she wants your experience to be as worry-free and convenient as possible. Outside the office, Dr. Katie and her husband, Dr. James Pizzo, enjoy spending time with their babies, Eleanor and Stevie. They love camping, hiking, fishing, and a good tennis match. Dr. Katie cannot wait to meet you and looks forward to welcoming you into our home at Katie Pizzo Orthodontics.

I’m originally from the small town of Walhalla, SC, but a few years ago, I moved to Greenville, and I’ve truly fallen in love with this city! The lake is my happy place (fun fact: I can wakesurf!) I love walking my dog, Casper, around the neighborhood and am a huge foodie (Coral and Sassafras are my go-to spots).
My husband and I are always up for an adventure – we’ve traveled everywhere from Colorado to Aruba, St. Barths, and Europe! We’re hoping to make even more trips soon!
Madison was born and raised in Greenville, SC, and she loves being part of the community she calls home. In her free time, she enjoys spending days at the beach, playing pickleball, and spending time with her two sweet dogs, Toby and Maverick, who always keep life fun and full of surprises. Madison has been working in orthodontics for three years and truly loves what she does. She loves creating a positive experience and bringing a little joy and laughter into every appointment. She can’t wait to meet everyone and be part of their smile journey!
Aana moved to Greenville from Maine a few years ago and now calls it home with her husband and two boys. She enjoys the outdoors, staying active, and finding balance through nature, creativity, and community. Her passions also include design, real estate, and curating spaces that feel both warm and modern. With over 14 years of orthodontic experience, Aana has loved being part of creating beautiful, confident smiles for her patients.

With a calm demeanor and friendly presence, our therapy dog helps patients of all ages feel relaxed and at ease.
